Spatial design has often been depicted through the narratives of established publications: meticulously curated images, clickbait articles, and celebrity or influencer endorsements.

The Right Angle is a designer-run podcast that explores the work, philosophical underpinnings, methodologies, and perspectives of creatives within the realm of spatial design.

Venturing beyond interior designers and architects, we aim to feature voices from textile designers to real estate developers and just about everything in between.

Hi :-)

Iā€™m Elle, a Brooklyn-based spatial designer with a focus on boutique hospitality and luxury residential projects. My passion for spatial design was nurtured in Beijing, my childhood home, where I was enveloped in the world of interior design and home renovation, thanks to my family's furniture manufacturing business.

Driven by this deep-seated passion, I made my way to New York, where I pursued studies in industrial design and interior architecture at the Pratt Institute. For the past decade, I've woven myself into the fabric of New York City's design world, learning and creating at renowned firms like AERIN, Rockwell Group, and SHVO. My journey in design has ranged from creating small decor pieces to dreaming up luxury hotels, restaurants, and residences worldwide.

Outside of work, I'm a fervent traveler, a tea enthusiast, and a devotee of wellness, always exploring how balance and beauty intersect in both our environments and lives.

I hope these chats do more than just entertain you; I hope they also light a spark in you. Here's to enjoying the journey of design together.
